(1) The premises licence holder or club premises certificate holder must ensure that an age verification policy is adopted in respect of the premises in relation to the sale or supply of alcohol.(2) The designated premises supervisor in relation to the premises licence must ensure that the supply of alcohol at the premises is carried on in accordance with the age verification policy.(3) The policy must require individuals who appear to the responsible person to be under 18 years of age (or such older age as may be specified in the policy) to produce on request; before being served alcohol; identification bearing their photograph; date of birth and either - (a) a holographic mark; or (b) an ultraviolet feature.
The responsible person must ensure that - (a) where any of the following alcoholic drinks is sold or supplied for consumption on the premises (other than alcoholic drinks sold or supplied having been made up in advance ready for sale or supply in a securely closed container) it is available to customers in the following measures - (i) beer or cider: Â½ pint; (ii) gin; rum; vodka or whisky: 25 ml or 35 ml; and (iii) still wine in a glass: 125 ml; (b) these measures are displayed in a menu; price list or other printed material which is available to customers on the premises; and (c) where a customer does not in relation to a sale of alcohol specify the quantity of alcohol to be sold; the customer is made aware that these measures are available.Responsible person is defined in Section 153(4) of the Licensing Act 2003.
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except on or during the dates; days and times specified in this licence. That is to say:-Mondays to Saturdays:-11.00 to 23.00Sundays and Christmas Day:-12.00 to 22.30In the Restaurant (hatched green); alcohol may be sold or supplied to a person taking a table meal there and for consumption by such person as an ancillary to his meal during an additional hour on each day.The licensable activities specified in this licence may be provided from the end of the specified finish times on any day which is New Year's Eve to the beginning of the start times on the following day (New Year's Day).The above restrictions do not prohibit:-a)during the first twenty minutes after the above hours; the taking of alcohol from the premises unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;b)consumption of alcohol on the premises or the taking of sale or supply of alcohol to any person residing in the licensed premises;c)the ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises; or the despatch by the vendor of the alcohol so ordered;d)the sale of alcohol to a trader or club for the purposes of the trade or club;e)the sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess; being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty's naval; military or air forces;f)the taking of alcohol from the premises by a person residing there; org)the supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises to any private friends of a person residing there who are bona fide entertained by him at his own expense; or the consumption of alcohol by persons so supplied; or h)the supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises to persons employed there for the purposes of the business carried on by the holder of the licence; or the consumption of liquor so supplied; if the liquor is supplied at the expense of their employer or of the person carrying on or in charge of the business on the premises.
Only those licensable activities specified in this licence shall be provided and shall be provided only on or during the dates; days and times specified in this licence.
The licensable activities permitted by this licence shall only be provided in the areas as detailed on the plan attached to this licence.
In that area hatched green on the approved plan; alcohol may only be sold or supplied to a person taking a table meal there and for consumption by such person as an ancillary to his meal; or to a person residing in the hotel accommodation; located on the upper floors; or their bona fide guests as referred to at condition 1 g) above.
In that area hatched blue on the approved plan substantial refreshment and beverages other than intoxicating liquor will always be available.
Intoxicating liquor will not be served at discounted prices.
There will be no off sales save for consumption in the patio area at the front of the premises; where alcohol may only be consumed by persons seated at a table and no more than 15 persons at any one time will be permitted.
Subject to the exemption contained within Section 150(4) of the Licensing Act 2003; all members of staff at the premises shall seek credible photographic proof from any person who appears to be under the age of 18 years and is seeking to purchase alcohol on the premises. Such credible evidence shall include a photograph of the customer which will either be a passport; photographic driving licence or proof of age card carrying a PASS logo. The Licensee shall ensure that all such training; and the related checks carried around the age restrictions applicable to the retail supply of alcohol; be documented.
No alcohol will be consumed in the outside front terrace except during the following times:Monday to Saturdays 11.00 to 23.00Sundays and Christmas Day 12.00 to 2230.
